Karl Watson's Epic Journey
Through Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, America...and Life.

Back in 2006 I went on a 6 month journey around the world. It was without a doubt the greatest 6 months of my life. And that's not disrespeting the rest of my life, it was just that good! It's actually quite overwhelming looking back at it. Normally when you look back over the last 6 months of your life there are certain days and certain moments that are highlights. For this, everyday was a highlight.

On the trip I wrote a diary, which initially was just for myself and my close friends and family. I posted the diary entries on getjealous.com where I could add pictures and people could leave comments. However, thanks to some hefty promotion from Steve right here on 18, it turned into something of a phenomenon!

At its peak I had over 150 people reading my diary entries. I had people I didn't even know leaving comments on my page! I even remember Ade saying he was in chat on BA.com and people were asking him when the next diary entry would be! It was all incredibly flattering and just added to the fun of the whole trip. So you'll notice a slight change in tone in the first few entries as I became aware A LOT of people were reading them!

The funny thing was, that banner on the right was created at the time when BA was doing an acoustic version of "Kids Wanna Rock" at his full band shows - much to everyone's horror. So the main banner on the front page said "this acoustic crap ain't gettin' me off!" with the above banner saying "Bryan can't rock right now...but 18's Karl can!" - and we know for a fact that Bryan himself visited the 18.co.uk when they were both up! Wonder what he must have thought.

So now you can read all of my diary entries - complete with photos - plus they now include my bungy jump and sky dive videos, and a few short videos from America! Hope you enjoy them.
